Yangdong Folk Village

Yangdong Folk Village is a  beautiful and historic place of Gyeongju. “It is designated as important cultural property on December 24th, 1984”(invil. org). There are many cultural assets. “Tongamsokpyun(National Treasure 283), Muchumdang(Treasure 411), Hyangdan(Treasure 412), Kwangajoeng(Treasure 422), Sonso Yongjoeng(Treasure 1216) are designated as important folklore data by city”(invil. org). The village is also harmonized with natural environments and human’s structures. “Yangdong Folk Village is a big village formed by four valleys, Naegok, Mulbongol, Goerim and Hachon, two ridgelines, Mulbong and Sujoldang and Galgudok and which has 500 years old houses and straw roofed houses with a thick forest”(invil. org). It is known for its old history because “it is believed to begin B.C. 4C according to archeologists’ report”(invil. org). Yangdong is a important place as a cultural asset. We have to study about Yangdong ,and we must protect and inform it to foreigners.  

My Experience

I have been to Yangdong Folk Village with my familly. We have seen beautiful trees, flowers, valleys and traditional houses. We have visited a school that was a tranditional house, and we have taken pictures with school and nature. We have also eaten a lunch at a beautiful valley. It has become a good experience to travel Yangdong Folk Village. I have felt that the Yangdong Folk Village was a most beautiful place of the world.

                              My Summer Vacation

I would like to tell my summer vacation to you. During summer vacation, I experienced many new things. First, I worked in a big resort that was Deamyeoung Resort. It was my first workplace ,and I worked as washing man. I washed many towels ,and I supervised big washing machines. It was a very hard and busy working. I perspired like slaves everyday and lost weight. I thought that It was a hard experience ,but also it was a nice experience. Next, I traveled to Jejudo with my family. It was first time to travel to Jejudo with my family. We went to Jejudo by airplane ,and there were many new and interest things. We rode horses ,and we ate various seafoods. During the traveling, I felt happiness and family's loves. I thought that I enjoyed a best summer vacation on my life.

My Mom

         I would like to introduce my mom to you. My mom is 54 

years old ,and she lives in Gyeoung Ju with me. She is kind and

 funny ,and her voice is so loud like tiger. She has worked for 30

years by hair designer. So, she always cuts my family's hair ,and

my hair is always cut for free. Now, my mom often sicks because

she works 6 days per week. I want her to stopping her working ,and

I want her to taking good care of her health. I think that she is a

best mom among all world's mom ,and I always love her.
