Character
Mr. Archibald is the uncle of Mary, and he is a sad person because on page 32 chapter 4 “Mary’s uncle had black hair with some white in it, and high, crooked shoulders. His face was not ugly, but very sad”. This book describes him on page 6 chapter 1 “he has no friends,, because he’s so bad-tempered, and he’s horrid”. Before Craven met his wife at his dream, he didn’t want to see his son, and he didn’t go to his big house. After he met his wife at his dream, he went to his house and met his son. Finally, he will live with his son happily.
Opinion
I think that this book is interesting and hard to read. Before semester, I read two English books ,so now I read three books for one year. Among them The Secret Garden is the most interesting book because the story of this book is interesting, and main characters have their clear personalities. It is also hard to read this book because words are so hard and there are many long texts, but It makes me study, and I think that my English skills are increased by this book in this semester. It is good experience to read this book, and I decide to read two English books during one year because to read English books make me so smart.
